iPhone 5 Rumors and iPhone 5 Jailbreak Possibilities | Jailbreak 4S
Rumors about the iPhone 5 continue to heat up. We’ve seen evidence previously that Apple is ramping up production in China. Current rumors put the iPhone 5 release date around late summer of early fall of 2012. This would make sense since Apple wants to capitalize on the wave of positive sentiment that has revolved around the 4S, while at the same time releasing the phone in time for Christmas sales prior to the holiday season.
But what will the iPhone 5 look like? Now that we’ve learned how to jailbreak iPhone 4S, speculation is most certainly turning to the iPhone 5. People want to know, not only what it will look like and what features it might have, but are also wondering what a potential way to jailbreak iPhone 5 might look like.
Possible iPhone 5 Improvements
1)The design. The design of the iPhone has remained constant through several iterations now. I mean, take a look at the older first generation iPhone. Not a lot has changed on a fundamental level. Comparing the iPhone 4S to recent generations such as the iPhone 4 leads to even more comparison. It’s time for a new design. Apple is rumored to be working on a new “teardrop” shaped design for the iPhone 5. We’re hoping and even kind of counting on it.
2)A Larger Display. The iPhone has been stuck on a 3 inch display for ages. This falls under the umbrella of our first hoped for improvement, with the general area of the design. However, many smart phones now have a 4 inch display, and we think that the display is worth talking about separately. Many Droid phones now come with a 4 inch display standard. And while the smaller 3 inch display is nice for being able to hold and manipulate with one hand, it would certainly be possible to retain the same size, while increasing the size of the display, by trimming down the material to the sides of the display.
3)Quad Core Processor. Oh boy. Wouldn’t that be nice. Could the rumored A6 processor possibly be quad core? We’re hoping so. Rumor has it that the next generation of Droid phones, and possibly even Windows phones, will be quad core. Apple will be seriously dropping the ball if they do not include a quad core processor, which new apps and games will very soon make necessary.
4)A Slimmer Design. Once again, we touch on the topic of the design. There’s nothing “wrong” with the design of the iPhone 4S. It just hasn’t kept pace with changes that we’ve seen to phones from other companies. In addition to a larger display, we’d like to see a slimmer profile. Is that too much to ask?
5)Native iPhone 4S Jailbreak Features. Apple quite often adds features that are designed by the jailbreak community to it’s native iOS revisions later on. Not so much was added when iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1 came out. We’re hoping that some of our favorite features that we gained when we were able to jailbreak iPhone 4S come natively with the iPhone 5, and that the iPhone 5 jailbreak adds even MORE cool features.
